Wellington

The Kingdom of New Zealand is a country located in the southwest Pacific Ocean. It is mainly made up of two islands, the North Island and the South Island, along with a group of smaller islands where Stewart Island and the Chatman Islands stand out. It is considered the freest democracy in the world and the country that most respects civil rights.

New Zealand’s economy is modern and highly developed, although it is based on traditional sectors such as livestock and agriculture. Its main exports are wine, dairy products, of which it is the third largest producer worldwide, and wool.

Wellington is the capital of the country, besides being the economic and commercial center, and is located south of the North Island. Curiously, it is one of the smallest world capitals, but that does not detract from one of the charms it presents. It is a bohemian city, where art and music merge to provide a unique experience. Shopping is another activity we can do in the city, focusing mainly on Tawa Outlet City, Courtenay Central, Lambton Square & Eatery, Johnsonville Shopping, Centre Ami Plaza or Karori Mall.

The Haka is known worldwide for being the dance performed by the All Blacks before their games, what is not so well known is that it is the war dance performed by Maori warriors before their battles. To soak up the Maori culture, you can enjoy a Hangi banquet, visit the many museums or simply talk to the locals, as Maori culture is admirably preserved.

Sea lovers are in luck, the Bay of Islands is the place they were hoping to find in New Zealand. Beautiful beaches with crystal clear water, dolphins swimming with tourists and more than 150 islands to visit and explore is what you will find in this region.

For those looking for nature adventures, Kahurangi National Park is the place to be. There Heaphy Track will delight trekking lovers, with a route that lasts from 4 to 6 days.

We can also approach the Milford Sound, where the waterfalls and the fauna formed by an extensive variety of species such as dolphins, seals or penguins, being Mitre Peak the most recognizable silhouette of the place.

As we can see, in New Zealand we can find everything necessary to make our trip an unforgettable experience, where shopping and natural tourism will be the main protagonists.
