Strategy launched to boost Costa Rica’s orange economy

Today, the national strategy “Costa Rica Creativa y Cultural 2030” was officially launched, through which creative and cultural enterprises will be promoted, as an engine for the economic, social and cultural development of the country.

In addition, it is intended to support the reopening and reactivation of the sector in the face of the current crisis.

The project will benefit performing arts, audiovisual, visual and territorial initiatives.

“This strategy is a fundamental step for the country’s artistic and cultural sectors to overcome this situation and emerge to the new normality”, said Sylvie Durán, Minister of Culture and Youth.

Among the actions and programs that are being contemplated is to define programs for accompaniment in business and financial development services.

“We are very satisfied with this strategic alliance, thanks to the launch of this Orange Economy program. We call on all these SMEs to join us and feel supported by this important initiative,” said Victoria Hernández, Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade.
