SPANISH NETWORK OF ACCESIBLE TOURISM

Established in 2009, the Spanish Network of Accessible Tourism (RED ESTABLE) was born to be the representative platform of those entities that develop their activity in the field of accessible tourism in Spain.

It seeks to promote the community market of accessible goods and services for people with disabilities and reduced mobility and specifically tourism, contributing to increasing the quality, competitiveness and profitability of the Spanish tourism sector, without forgetting the direct effect it has on job creation.

In 2015, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism recognises Red Estable as an Innovative Business Group with an Excellent rating.

Currently, the group is made up of more than 100 entities, including companies, freelancers, associations and technology and knowledge centres (travel agencies, transport, accommodation, catering, consultancy, technology, architecture, universities, etc.), directly or indirectly related to accessible tourism.

These are some of the actions that have been carried out and are being carried out by Red Estable:

PROMOTION

  • Participation in national and international tourism fairs (FITUR, REHA, ITB)
  • Dissemination of the activities of our associates

AWARENESS-RAISING

  • Participation in national and international conferences and congresses (1st International Tourism Congress).
  • Accessible in Mexico, 1st International Congress of Accessible Tourism Dominican Republic, 1st Conference of Accessible Tourism Latin America – Caribbean, Balearic Forum towards a Europe without Barriers, Salon without Barriers, etc.).
  • Drafting and dissemination of the Manifesto “For Accessible Tourism

COLLABORATION

  • Collaboration agreements with Associations and Entities of the tourist sector and of the Disability.
  • Collaboration agreement with the Banco de Reservas de la República Dominicana (Banreservas) for the development of Accessible Tourism in the Country.

  • Cooperation agreement with the APEC University of Santo Domingo in training on Accessible Tourism.
