Mexico: El Buen Fin will be promoted abroad to attract shopping tourism

The above is intended to be done through actions that attract foreign buyers to the border cities of the north and south of the country, in order to take advantage of the proximity of Mexican cities with neighboring countries.

In 2020, El Buen Fin will be promoted internationally to attract shopping tourism outside the country, according to the president of the Confederation of Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur), José Manuel López Campos.

The above is intended to be done through actions that attract foreign buyers to the border cities of the north and south of the country, in order to take advantage of the proximity of Mexican cities with neighboring countries, said through a document.

The established trade leader mentioned that the plan is part of the innovation that has been considered for the coming year. It is also expected that companies will be able to participate together to offer their offers at the same time.

Concanaco Servytur reported that the ninth edition of El Buen Fin has gone by in white balance, without major incidents and with great affluence in shopping centers and department stores, generating an increase in sales of up to 50 and 100% in some establishments, according to reports from affiliated chambers.

It is estimated that the projected percentage of growth in sales for the 2019 edition exceeds 5%, or $118 billion pesos, because the technology platform that the confederation put into action to compare prices and offers reported more than 800,000 products, more than 30 million prices and more than 200,000 searches in three days.

“This indicator gives us signals that we will exceed the projected growth target figure for this year, which is 5%,” reads the document of Concanaco published in its digital portal.

Today is the last day of the ninth edition of El Buen Fin. The president of the established trade, accompanied by the Secretary of Economy, Graciela Marquez Colin, the president of ANTAD, Vicente Yañez Solloa, among others, will continue their tour in the north of the country to prepare innovations and improvements for the tenth edition of 2020.
