Lotus wins Luxury Brand of the Year at Luxury Briefing 2019

Lotus won the prestigious ‘Luxury Brand of the Year’ award at the Luxury Briefing 2019 Annual Awards and was honoured at a gala ceremony held at The Savoy, London, in front of more than 350 VIP guests.

Founded in 1996, Luxury Briefing offers industry reports, analysis and expert opinions across all sectors of the luxury industry. Luxury Brand of the Year’ is one of the top awards and elected by the organisation’s board of directors. In selecting Lotus, Sir Eric Peacock, President of Luxury Briefing, noted that the brand “revolutionised and disrupted its sector by removing all limits and limitations with an energy explosion of innovation and repositioning.

However, what most excited the Luxury Briefing team was the launch of the all-electric Lotus Evija hypercar.

Phil Popham, CEO of Lotus Cars, picked up the award and commented: “We are a high-performance car company with bold ambitions for the future, so being recognised and honoured as a luxury brand at this stage of our journey is a fantastic achievement. This award is for all members of the Lotus family around the world who work tirelessly to grow our brand and reach new levels of success. I’m sure it will be the first of many from outside the automotive sector.
