From 10 to 12 April will be held a new edition of Peru Fashion, the fair of inputs and businesses that every year receives buyers of some of the most important brands in the world.
According to a statement issued by the Peruvian Export and Tourism Promotion Commission (PROMPERU), this year the event will receive representatives of firms such as Max Mara, Gucci, Prada, Vivienne Westwood, Tory Burch and Pinko, who will be participating in the business rounds.
The event to be held at the Lima Convention Center will have 214 exhibitors, of which 197 are SMEs. It is expected that more than 300 foreign buyers from 30 countries will be part of the 3600 meetings. The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Edgar Vasquez referred in the statement to the importance that large companies are interested in Peruvian products: “The great expectation expressed by hundreds of professional buyers from various parts of the world who will attend Peru Fashion and Peru Fashion Deco 2019 predict that trade commitments will exceed the 120 million dollars that were generated in the previous edition.
The exhibition will be divided into eight areas: Brands and designers, Sourcing, Babies and children, Footwear and accessories, Alpaca, Jewellery, Clothing and Decoration and gift.
The concept of the fair this year will be focused on sustainability and will be “Believe to be sustainable”. The aim is to reflect on how the fashion industry impacts the environment and in turn represents the opportunity to show how creativity and conscious design come together.
In addition to the business rounds, the textile forum and the sustainable fashion forum will be held by local and international professionals.
As in previous years, the 15th edition of the Young Creators to the World competition will be held under the concept “Rethink, Be Sustainable”, in relation to taking care of the environment as a necessity.
