Green Spain, which brings together the governments of Asturias, Cantabria, Galicia and the Basque Country, is working on the development of a new tourist product, “Art, Design & Fashion-Green Spain”, which will enhance the sustainability and local product of each of the territories of the four communities that make up the brand with which they jointly promote the attractions of the north of the peninsula. “Art, Design & Fashion-Green Spain” will be presented in November and will integrate fashion designers, artisans and leading producers to attract shopping tourism.
The official presentation of Art, Design & Fashion Green Spain will take place in November, during the celebration of the World Travel Market, where the four Communities will be jointly promoted under the umbrella of Green Spain.
The agreement took place during a working meeting held on Tuesday in the Basque capital, as the coordination of the Green Spain brand corresponds this year to the Autonomous Community. The next meeting will be held in September and representatives of the hotel associations of the different communities will participate. In addition, in October they will meet in the Transcantábrico Train. These calls will address online promotion actions in international markets and familiarization trips, famtrip, with tourism agents and journalists from Japan and the United States, among others.
The Transcantábrico Train, the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago del Norte, Palaces and Wineries, surfing and gastronomy are some of the products and services offered by Green Spain. With them, the tourism brand is presented in the international market “seeking a greater presence through a united offer,” according to the director general of Tourism, Eva Bartolomé.
