Abu Dhabi celebrates Eid with Unbox Amazing summer shopping offers

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has amplified its Unbox Amazing summer shopping promotion by announcing a host of limited-period shopping, hotel stay and culinary experiences to coincide with the forthcoming Eid Al Adha holiday.

With international travel restrictions catalysing a surge in domestic tourism this summer, UAE residents can save and win big when they shop, stay and dine in Abu Dhabi over Eid. Designed to complement the emirate’s new ‘Rediscover Abu Dhabi’ campaign, Unbox Amazing, a Retail Abu Dhabi initiative supported by Abu Dhabi Culinary Season, includes a staggering array of discounts, deals, prizes and promotions across Abu Dhabi’s world-class portfolio of malls, hotels and restaurants.

Abu Dhabi’s multi-faceted and destination-wide Eid celebration will unfold amid stringent health and safety measures across the emirate, as DCT Abu Dhabi’s Go Safe certification ensures safe shopping, tourism and dining experiences for the public.

“This year more than ever, we need a reason to celebrate, make new memories and discover fresh experiences on our doorstep,” said Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, Executive Director of Tourism and Marketing, DCT Abu Dhabi. “Across the emirate, we are incentivising residents to take advantage of an amazing schedule of Eid activities in the family-friendly Unbox Amazing campaign, from travelling the world through food right here in Abu Dhabi, unboxing amazing shopping experiences, including scores of only-in Abu Dhabi products, major rewards programs, and bumper shopping rewards and discounts.”

Unbox Amazing is led by a massive Shop & Win contactless promotion where Visa cardholders with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Al Hilal Bank and First Abu Dhabi Bank that spend AED200 ($54.4) or more in 3,500 participating outlets automatically enter mega draws for prizes including Mercedes Benz cars from Emirates Motor Company and the latest technology products from Sharaf DG, school fees, staycation, homeware bundles and much more. In addition, the Shop & Win promotion also extends to customers using Etihad Guest Visa Payment cards linked to Unbox Amazing’s four participating banks, with 1,000,000 Etihad Guest Miles up for grabs. Shoppers can also take advantage of unbeatable brand discounts of up to 80 per cent across 21 malls participating in the summer-long Unbox Amazing promotion, which ends on August 31.

Elsewhere, fashion addicts can shop the season’s top looks, exclusive showcases and limited-edition pieces from over 40 international brands that are only available in participating Abu Dhabi malls and stores until August 5.

Retail therapy and bargain hunting align with foodie escapes this Eid Al Adha in Abu Dhabi, with DCT Abu Dhabi expanding its annual Abu Dhabi Culinary Season event to include Travel Through Food, a dedicated summer dining campaign.

Travel Through Food includes unmissable Chef’s Table experiences curated by a selection of Abu Dhabi’s most gifted culinary talents, an expansive roster of Dine & Stay packages at 19 top hotels across the UAE capital, as well as discounted menus at 400-plus restaurants covering all budgets run in partnership with Zomato, and Big Brekkie Adventures, which highlights the vast array of international breakfasts available across Abu Dhabi.
